INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION for STREET LIGHTING:

June 2006:

It was asked for proposals for refined and distinctive streetlight designs befitting the three major central areas of Tokyo (Ginza, Kyobashi, Nihonbashi) with an attractive street lighting design thatwill symbolize Chuo Dori in the 21st Century.

Design that maintains dignity of Chuo Dori as a main street in Japan, which has always been setting the trend for new era, reflecting the history and culture of Ginza, Kyobashi and Nihonbashi.
Design that includes concept for the future, considering urban functions indispensable in the 21st century, such as ecology, barrier-free, security, entertainment etc.
Design that gives accent to the beautiful scenery of the area where has prospered historically and culturally as a centre of Japan.

21. yüzyılı simgeleyecek  Japonyanın Başkenti Tokyoda (Ginza,Kyobaşı ve Nihonbaşı`nda) ana Cadde ışıklandirma projesi.Doğadan yola çıkılarak bir  Japon Bahçesinde Kiraz agaçlarını andıran, agaç seklinde cadde Işıgı tasarımı. Özel fonksiyonları ile mevsimlere göre ve günün saatine göre renkleriyle degişebilen bir tasarim.
