The new extension is formed above treating the historical Asplund Library with respect by creating an adequate distance. The new topography results in an urban bridge
which links the city with the observatorium.

Entering through a main portal on Odengatan, you are quickly orientated to the new structural unity which connects the Asplund Library, the Annexes 1,2,3 and the new
extension.

Surrounding it all is an auratic ribbon transmitting electronic messages to the city, thus mystifying and clarifying at the same
time.
